Horses’ front or back legs are frequently chained together in several regions of Romania. This prevents them from fleeing. Our FOUR PAWS veterinarian Ovidiu found a horse in Letea (Danube delta). He immediately assisted in freeing the horse from his torturous bonds. As soon as Ovidiu set the horse free, it gave him an appreciative nuzzle before moving on.
The horse is one of the wild Hucul-breed horses that reside in the Danube delta in Letea, which is home to the second-largest wetland in Europe and a World Heritage Site.
