This dog followed the funeral for 3 kilometers without pausing to rest as its owner was transported to the cemetery for burial.
A Malaysian elderly woman passed away on June 3 due to old age and ill health, and her descendants, relatives, and neighbors took her to her final burial place. A dog pursued the burial procession all the way to the cemetery during the roughly 3-kilometer-long service.
The elderly man’s dog, Bobby, who has been living with him for a long time, was reared by him. Now that the owner has passed away, he is heartbroken but unable to express it; instead, he can only act rambunctiously during his grandfather’s burial. Bobby continued to silently pursue the hearse for more than 3 kilometers after they had taken him to his final resting place because he was determined not to stop.
Bobby was also observed remaining close to the vehicle transporting his owner’s remains when the caravan arrived at the cemetery. His lips was open from exhaustion and his nose was continually turned up to search. It moved quickly to lie close to the freshly excavated hole, but even if it were chased away, it would not move more than half a step. It remained there somberly when the coffin was lowered, as though keeping an eye on its owner and bidding him farewell for the final time.
Bobby did not get up and leave to finish the funeral of his owner until he had received consolation and advice from his children. That scene moved everyone to tears, many said that this was the first time in their lives they had seen such a loyal dog.
Bobby won’t have to spend the rest of his days alone because the old man’s heirs have decided to bring him back to their home to raise and care for him. I don’t know how long it will take Bobby to get over the sadness of losing his owner, but at least he won’t have to live alone for the rest of the days.
