A beautiful and sweet dog left at an animal shelter by his family has waited more than two years for a forever home.

A beautiful and sweet dog left at an animal shelter by his family has waited more than two years for a forever home.

When an animal is brought to a shelter, the goal is to save it, provide it with medical treatment, and then place it in a forever home so that it may live out the rest of its days in peace. On the other hand, it would seem that not every animal has the same experience; for example, a nice dog that has been at a shelter for more than two years without having a possible adopter has not been successful in finding a home.

2019 saw the arrival of a young canine with the moniker Coco at the Main Line Animal Rescue (MLAR) shelter located in Pennsylvania, United States of America. He said that despite the fact that his family had just moved away from Connecticut, they had decided to relinquish the puppy since they were unable to devote the necessary amount of time to its care

Unfortunately, Coco has been at this shelter for more than 730 days at this point, and throughout that time she has not been scheduled for any adoption appointments.

Despite the fact that no one has shown any interest in Coco, his foster mother continues to maintain her positive attitude and wait for the perfect family to come knocking on her door.

Coco reveals her kind disposition when she has gotten to know you, despite the fact that it may take her some time to warm up to new people. His friends at the shelter believe that his early reluctance to interact with people is the reason he has not been adopted yet.

An MLAR volunteer named Heidi Mottin sent the following statement to The Dodo:

Coco is fairly wary of new people, but as soon as he determines that they can be trusted and do not have any malicious intent against him, he becomes goofy, friendly, and playful.

Coco is a pretty bold dog when it comes to exploring the area surrounding the outside shelter, and he likes delivering kisses to anybody that he encounters. Coco is a huge dog, but he has trust issues, so it may take him some time to adjust to his new home before he is completely comfortable there.

If you want Coco to be successful, you will need to have a lot more patience with her than other people do if you want her to be successful. Some people select a dog that instantly fits into their lifestyle.

It’s possible that Coco’s cautious behavior is due to the fact that she’s been at the shelter for a long and finds it difficult to relax in an environment where there are so many other dogs. Everyone is certain that once Coco goes into her future home, she will finally be able to relax and show who she really is, despite the fact that the situation is quite stressful.

Heidi tacked on:

Coco is used to leading a routine life at the shelter where she now resides. He gives the impression of being satisfied and is almost completely despondent about the possibility that there is more to life.
