Animals are frequently seen in the area of the Horsetooth Inn and RV Park, which is a popular tourist destination in Fort Collins, Colorado, close to the foot of the Rocky Mountains.
However, Lori Jones had a close encounter with a deer when it accidentally entered the little gift shop where she works.
The wild doe suddenly emerged, entered through the entrance, and then stood there for a brief period of time inspecting the sunglasses and the chips. Lori couldn’t help but smile. In the end, she used a peanut bar to help escort the deer back outside and felt it was more effective than using. But then…
About thirty minutes later, the mother deer returned, this time with her three young! They waited and stood at the door as their mother introduced them.
Given that they were wild creatures, Lori wouldn’t allow them to linger for very long, so she enticed them all outside with another peanut bar. She usually doesn’t allow people to feed animals, but she felt that in this particular case, it was necessary.
What a once-in-a-lifetime experience for Lo, though.
