After giving blood to save the life of a puppy, the dog is quite happy.

A charming dog did something that was completely unexpected but lovable all the same. An anemic puppy was saved thanks to the donation of blood by Jax, a dog who was seven years old. Jennifer Fowler, Jax Fowler’s mother and a veterinarian in her own right, said that her dog is excited to be of assistance.

According to what she said on LADbible:

He is completely motionless during any procedure and delights in any sort of attention that may be bestowed upon him. On the day when [he gave blood], we had a very underweight puppy that was on the point of dying away. [He] volunteered to give blood. A blood transfusion was necessary for the unhappy dog since his body had practically no red blood cells at all.

Jennifer claims that it is really difficult to get this type of contribution. If it is determined that it is safe to do so, the veterinary team may on occasion offer to give one of their own animals to help ease the problem.

The woman’s husband drove Jax to the medical facility, which was located ten minutes away from their home.

As she reflects on it:

He couldn’t contain his excitement at seeing everyone, but he managed to hold his ground while we cleaned the area, clipped off a little patch of fur off his neck, and made the area as hygienic as possible.

Blood was drawn from his neck for about a quarter of a minute as he calmly waited, wagging his tail, and being licked throughout the procedure. He never shed a tear.

His mother went on to say:

Approximately thirty seconds later, everything was finished, and he was presented with a variety of treats, a high-calorie snack consisting of wet food, some water, and the option to unwind in a plush bed for the rest of the day.

Not only is Jax’s mother proud of how brave he was, but she is proud of him overall. After this, she saw that her dog seemed pleased to be with her, as though she felt comforted since he had helped her. This made her realize that her dog was happy to be with her.

Jillian added:

“That bag was large enough for the puppy, and it was large enough for three transfusions,” she said. The dog was able to make a full recovery and was brought back to its owner a few days later.
