Man disregards the warnings of firefighters and takes risks to save his dog.

Jose Guzman, of California, is fortunate to be alive after entering his burning home to save his cherished pit bull dog, Gabanna, who is 2 years old.

After the dramatic rescue video went viral, Jose’s choice to enter the house to save her, for which he maintains he has no remorse, has been praised by animal lovers everywhere.

Jose said to PERSONS:

Although I was aware that anything may have occurred to either myself or the two of us, the thought didn’t cross my mind at the time. That dog belongs to my family. After she had been with us through all of her ups and downs, I couldn’t leave her there. For any member of my family, I would do it again if I could.

On the day of the fire, Jose was having a barbecue at his parents’ house with his fiance and three daughters when he heard about a fire nearby. They had only gone an hour prior, so he was unaware of the fire in his home, but he still felt the need to check on things immediately away.
When Jose arrived, he discovered that the fire had started at his neighbor’s house, but that his own home was also on fire. The man then understood that the fire was so intense that the firefighters needed assistance from adjacent fire stations since they were out of water.

Joseph knew that his dog Gabanna was inside the house, even if his human family was safe, and he declared that he would not let her die in this way.

José disregarded the firefighters and entered the house without stopping to find Gabanna, who was taking refuge in the toilet, the only part of the building that wasn’t on fire. The poor thing was curled up into a ball under the toilet.

Jose’s landlord’s son-in-law, Adam Guzman, who is not related to Jose, captured the moment on tape. Jose may be seen on the video dashing despite the firemen’ protests.

Gabanna is then pursued by Jose, much to everyone’s surprise.
Adam said it was “very emotional” since he didn’t think Jose would survive the fire.
“I thought he was going to die. He was being engulfed in flames, and I had no idea how he was going to get through them quickly. That was the last time I saw him. Glad to be alive, he quickly left with the dog. He also brought the dog outside at the same moment.
