Old Man sells metals and feeds street cats

Old Man sells metals and feeds street cats

Willie Ortiz, 76 years old, is a veteran and scrap metal collector who hails from Hartford, Connecticut. Since he started feeding the strays in his area 22 years ago, he hasn’t skipped a single day’s worth of meals. Regardless of whether it is raining, snowing, or extremely cold, he still ventures outside to collect scrap metal so that he can afford to buy food and other supplies for the cat.

Willie takes care of the strays in the neighborhood by feeding them every evening, spaying and neutering them, and otherwise seeing to their needs so that the number of strays does not grow uncontrollably.

When he noticed people disregarding a starving kitten that was begging for food, he decided to start providing food for the strays in the area. Willie explained that others were trying to push it away, and he could tell that it required assistance. “Even though I’m sure they can’t comprehend what I’m saying because of my accent, I have to do something.” After that, he made the decision that his life’s work would be to look after strays and abandoned cats.

Every morning, Willie gets in his car and travels about in search of scraps that he can sell, and every evening, he heads out of the house with cans of sardines and cat food in order to feed the cats and check on their well-being. The cats that he takes care of are in excellent condition and have enough of food.

Willie takes care of injured or sick animals and brings them in to receive the required medical attention. In addition to providing daily food for the cats, Willie does this. Willie asserts that despite the fact that his job is really difficult, he wouldn’t have it any other way because it’s his life and the reason he’s truly happy. Willie has assured us that he will continue to provide food for the cats for as long as he is able.

The previous year, Kathleen Schlentz started a GoFundMe campaign in order to provide financial support to Willie so that he could buy additional food for the cats. It should not come as a surprise that they were able to surpass their target, but donations can still be made to this cause. We have high hopes that those who believe in Willie’s mission will keep donating.

Kathleen Schlentz said on GoFundMe that her husband “now feeds 16 colonies of stray and wild cats, a total of 68 cats, every night, 365 days a year and has never missed a night in 22 years.” “Presently he feeds 16 colonies of stray and feral cats, a total of 68 cats,” she stated. “He sees to it that they are provided with all they require to enjoy the best life possible.”

There has to be a greater number of people like Willie in order for the little things people do every day to make the world a better place. On the other hand, not everyone agrees with his decision. They remark that I give them an excessive amount or ask me why I feed them on a daily basis, Ortiz mentioned further. “You eat, don’t you? They only consume one meal every day, in contrast to the three that you consume.
