11-year-old Turkish teenager Hamdü Sena Bilgin resides in a small community adjacent to the city of Rize. On the small farm owned by her family, where goats are raised for their milk, Hamdü is the shepherd who tends to and guides the animals. Social media users flocked to the images of her and her dog rescuing a little goat and her mother.
Her dog Tomi stays at her side to comfort her all year long, even in the frigid winter months.
When Hamdü and Tomi were tending to the goats while they were grazing on a snowy slope far from their home, one of the goats unexpectedly went into labor.
Hamdü was worried that the goat and her young would not be able to return on their own, so she moved swiftly.
The Dodo quoted Hamdü Sena as saying:
“After the goat had birth, I brought the rest of the herd to the farm. After retrieving two bags from the house, Tomi and I returned for the goat and her babies.
Hamdü held the mother goat and put the baby goat in a separate bag for Tomi to bear.
He’s a decent dog. Very clever
