Cinnamon, an 11-year-old Shiba who suffers from Cushing’s syndrome and glaucoma, never stops grinning. Despite the fact that entertainment lawyer Andrew Bua acquired the dog in 2004, it was his engaged wife Ashley Kroop who started the Instagram account that made Cinnamon popular. The ailing puppy is regularly complimented by onlookers for her grin, and on July 4th, she will be the flower girl at the couple’s wedding.
In an interview with ABC News, Kroop said, “When she initially started living with me, I thought she was the sweetest dog and always had her grin on and it just felt like a natural fit for the world to see her smile.
Shibas are a tiny, agile breed of dog that the Japanese originally cultivated for hunting. Dogs frequently suffer from Cushing’s disease, which causes the adrenal glands to produce too much cortisol. Eye damage from glaucoma can result in blindness.
